Incident Report / Actions Taken by Team Members
I was told someone sprained their ankle at 11:30. I was directed outside the fusion room Thea was with the fusion group playing outside and got her foot stuck in a small drain and twisted it. She has alert and oriented and complained of mild pain. Her ankle had no swelling, bruising or lacerations. Thea had good ROM and was able to bare weight on her foot. She walked back to the fusion room with minimal assistance. There she elevated her foot and was given ice to put on her foot and 400mg of Motrin. After service around 12:30 I checked on Thea I saw no bruising or swelling to her ankle. Thea state she was ok and the pain had not gotten worse. She stated that she felt fine to drive home and if her symptoms got worse she would go to urgent care.
