Incident Report / Actions Taken by Team Members

On March 8th, 2025, at approximately 0147 hours, at least two subjects in a white Chevy truck stole the 26-foot storage trailer from the North Coast Church Temecula campus. The theft was brought to the attention of North Coast Church when the trailer was recovered on the side of the road in the Murrieta area. However, most of the contents of the trailer had been stolen from inside. Pastor Hartley discovered the theft had been recorded on our security cameras.

On March 10th, an uninvolved male contacted Pastir Chase Hartley regarding property that had been located on the side of the road in Redlands, CA, that belonged to North Coast Church. Pastor Hartley and his team recovered the located property from two different locations in Fallbrook and Redlands. It was determined after completing an inventory that several items were still missing. Some of the missing items include;

– Miscellaneous church administrative equipment
– Tables and other furnishings
– Safety radios and charging stations
– Baby items such as strollers used in the Children’s ministry

The approximate cost to replace the items is $12,000 – $15,000. For a full list of stolen items see the North Coast Temecula Lost Inventory document.

On March 10th, I conducted a follow-up in the area of the theft. I located several businesses who had also captured the incident on security cameras. Renewing Hope and Elite Grading both provided me with copies of their security footage. I had also downloaded our security footage and provided a copy of it to the Murrieta Police Department for evidence. I learned from reviewing all of the videos that there were no plates on the truck that stole the trailer.
Cassandra, from Renewing Hope agreed to post the videos to several groups she belongs to on social media in hopes of identifying the owner of the truck and potentially leading to the identity of the person(s) who stole the trailer and property.

Additional security cameras have been purchased and will be installed soon to help prevent or deter further thefts.
