Incident Report / Actions Taken by Team Members

On Tuesday, 2/15/22, at 2348 hours I received a call from Guard West Security Officer Chris Craig at the Vista campus. Chris told me that a few trailers on the west side of the High School lot had been broken into and he believes that he scared off the suspect. I responded to the campus and met with Chris. He advised that around 2338 hours, he heard a metal clanging noise by the high school lot. At the time, he was by the water tower above the 11/12 building. Chris drove down the hill and over to the area of the tow trailers, where he heard the noise a second time. As he drove by the row of trailers, he saw some items had been removed from one of the trailers. He then heard what sounded like someone running in the area of the west entrance. He heard a car door shut and then observed a gray vehicle drive away eastbound on North Sante Fe.

I checked the six trailers and saw that three had been broken into, all by what appeared to by some type of pry tool in which the door latches were bent and broken off. Two of the trailers were empty and one had a baptism container inside, it does not appear anything was stolen. The trailers that were broken into are described as follows:
Hallmark Trailer No Plate // American Trailer Ca4DT5849 // Hallmark Universal Trailer Ca4GW2702

I checked the video footage and saw that a small SUV drove up the west entrance and parked on the north side of the curved roadway at 2336 hours. At 2346 hours, the vehicle started up and left out the west entrance. No license plate could be obtained.
