Patient reported no loss of consciousness and was A&O x3. BP: 164/78 P:76 (seated) – I started oral hydration: 6oz pineapple juice; 8 oz H2O over 15 min. – After 15 min: I preformed an orthostatic BP: – 162/74 (seated); 140/70 (standing) – I took the patient on a walk approximately 20 yards and his BP and pulse remained in normal range and he remained asymptomatic. – we sent the patient home with instructions to continue normal hydration, monitor BP throughout the day and to notify his cardiologist in the am.
